However, Lord Vishnu, in his commitment to protect dharma, disguised himself as Jalandhar and broke Vrinda’s vow.
Once Vrinda came to know about the reality, she cursed Lord Vishnu to turn into a stone, which later became the Shaligram stone or Shaligram swaroop.of Lord Vishnu.
